Zigzag Vittoria Silk Lampshade

A complete one-off lampshade, unique and handmade by myself. Firstly I designed the zigzag frame inspired by vintage lampshades from the 20’s and 30’s. I then printed my Vittoria design in a small scale on silk twill, and stretched this together with an ivory silk lining over the frame in 8 sections, hand sewing each into place. I then added an ivory braid inside and out, before adding the fringe. The fluffy rayon fringe was made in London especially for this piece, hand loomed in a traditional way and hand dyed to match the green, blue and cream colours in the pattern. The overall effect is an unusual and detailed lampshade with a heritage feel. This is a special piece to treasure, and an heirloom to hand down to the next generation.

Attachment – This will be sent with a spider (hanging) attachment and also a carrier for a lamp for your flexibility.
